Daily poll: After, oh, 70 years or so, is it time for Jeep to move?


Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler and already no favorite among Jeep faithful, continues to fan the flames spreading across the interwebs that the all-new 2017 Wrangler will bring a dramatic departure from its seven decades of progenitors. So different, in fact, will the new aluminum-skinned Wrangler be that the seven-slot grille’s corporate parent thinks it could be more cost effective to abandon the new assembly plant opened in 2007 to build the current JK Wrangler than to update the facility for the next-generation vehicle.

Toledo, Ohio, has been home to Jeep manufacturing since its birth in the shadow of World War II. So, is it really time for Jeep to uproot?
