To date, I’ve not done any night wheeling, in part because I’m not outfitted with anything other than Jeep’s anemic factory lighting. That’ll change this weekend, however, with the arrival of my GenSSi rock lights!
These dual-Samsung 5730-chip LED lights put out 100 lumens each, and at only 1.2 watts. (In an initial test using a 9-volt battery, just one of these lights lit up an entire room, albeit dimly.) I opted for 12 of the lights, controlled by a wireless switch that will mount under the hood. Eventually, I’ll hardwire them to my planned sPOD, but for now, the wireless option is significantly cheaper.
Watch for an install post in the coming days!
