We’ve all heard the expression “save the best for last,” and while I won’t editorialize and call Hyline Offroad’s new front fender liners for the Jeep Wrangler JK the best product in their category, it does appear Hyline has learned from their competitors and entered the market determined to make a strong showing.
The Pennsylvania-based company has just begun shipping its new front fender liners, constructed from 5052-series aluminum. The liners weigh in at 11 pounds for the pair, and install in a few hours. Like others in this market space, Hyline’s fender liners feature a prominent mesh panel, accented by their stylish new logo, to facilitate better engine bay cooling. Worthy of note, in our opinion, is that Hyline Offroad made sure their liners extend down to cover the unsightly body panel gap created when the factory fender liners are removed. In our opinion, this, combined with their $274.99 price tag in bare aluminum, makes these liners quite a bargain. (A powder-coated version is available for an additional $55.) Hyline’s liners are cut high above the frame rails, minimizing the risk of rattles or chafing against the Jeep’s hard brake lines.
